Key Responsibilities

DOT Compliance Group is a fast-growing company seeking telesales representatives with a passion for customer service, a drive to succeed, a high level of integrity, and a positive attitude to work full-time in our Irving office.

Job Summary: This is a full-time non-exempt inside sales position working shifts from roughly 8:00 am-5:00 pm Monday – Friday. You will be selling valuable services that the DOT Compliance Group provides to the motor carrier (trucking) industry. You will be calling and selling to warm leads that are provided to you. You will also field incoming calls from interested parties in the motor carrier industry who have received information about our services.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Call leads from a provided database and offers our services
  • Provide product and service information to customers
  • Place outbound calls/answer inbound calls and address the client’s needs and concerns
  • Follow up customer calls where necessary
  • Upsell products and services
  • Process orders, forms, and application
  • Complete call logs and reports, documenting call information
  • Sell products and place customer orders in the computer system
  • Follow “scripts” as provided by DOT Compliance Group
  • Identify and escalate issues to supervisors
  • Represent the company in a positive light
  • Demonstrate the ability to confidently communicate effectively utilizing customer service soft skills such as empathy, assurance, and voice inflection
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Proficient in relevant computer applications
  • Ability to conduct business over the phone
  • Knowledge of customer service practices and principles
  • Sales processing skills
  • Superior listening, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Ability to handle the stressful situation appropriately

Education and/or Experience: Minimum high school diploma or equivalent. Sales experience is preferred but not required.

Language Skills: Ability to speak and read English clearly is a must. The ability to speak additional languages is desirable but is not a requirement of this role.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to understand and follow instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to pass escalated issues over to a supervisor without compromising the integrity of the company.

Computer Skills: Ability to listen and respond while keying into an automated system. General technology knowledge of email, typing, online phone usage
